Selection procedure

Selection is conducted by the Interdisciplinarity Committee.

The criteria for selection are as follows:

  • Interdisciplinary Focus: The project must concentrate on interdisciplinary research between two Research Programmes (one in Life Sciences and one in Materials Science), with the PhD candidate spending time in both laboratories. In the case of a joint project, both PhD candidates are expected to spend a certain amount of time in each other's laboratory, collaborating closely with their colleague.
  • Scientific Quality: The project's scientific quality will be evaluated based on its soundness, relevance, and potential contribution to the respective fields.
